The service

Fio QR Payments helps Shopify merchants present QR Platba or PAY by square instructions after Shopify checkout for orders placed with a merchant-configured manual bank-transfer payment method. It can compare imported Fio statement transactions with eligible Shopify orders and mark an order paid only when the configured account, currency, amount, and reference produce one exact match.

The app is not a payment gateway, does not replace or bypass Shopify checkout, does not collect buyer payment credentials, does not hold funds, and does not initiate a buyer's bank transfer. Ambiguous, unmatched, late, reversed, or otherwise exceptional transactions remain the merchant's responsibility to review.

Eligibility and merchant responsibilities

• The merchant must maintain an eligible Shopify store, a supported manual payment method, and a Fio account and API token they are authorized to use.
• The merchant must enter accurate beneficiary, account, currency, payment-label, reference, and report-recipient settings.
• The merchant is responsible for confirming receipt of funds, resolving exceptions, refunds, reversals, taxes, accounting, and compliance with banking and consumer laws.
• The merchant must protect Shopify, Fio, and app credentials and must not send API tokens, passwords, or full bank credentials through support email.
• The merchant must verify the app's behavior in its own workflow before relying on automated reconciliation.

Public App Store pricing

The public Shopify App Store edition is genuinely free. There is no subscription, usage fee, activation fee, or charge collected outside Shopify for using the public edition. The merchant remains responsible for Shopify plan fees, bank fees, connectivity, and other third-party costs.

Custom deployments

A separately provisioned custom-distribution deployment is a distinct Shopify app installation and can be governed by a separate written agreement. Custom deployment terms do not change the free pricing or rights of merchants using the public App Store edition.

Third-party services and availability

The service depends on Shopify, Fio, internet, hosting, and email-delivery systems outside the operator's control. Features can be delayed or unavailable during third-party outages, maintenance, rate limits, invalid credentials, or incompatible store configuration. No uninterrupted-availability or fixed support-response guarantee is made for the free public edition.

Acceptable use and suspension

The app must not be used unlawfully, to access an account without authorization, to misrepresent payment status, to interfere with the service, or to evade Shopify's platform or payment rules. Access can be limited or suspended when reasonably necessary to protect merchants, buyers, the service, or third parties, or to address misuse or a security issue.

Data and termination

Use of the app is also governed by the Privacy Policy. A merchant can stop using the public edition by uninstalling it in Shopify. Uninstallation revokes ongoing Shopify access and starts the applicable deletion and retention workflows; some limited records can remain for the periods stated in the Privacy Policy or when legally required.

Service limitations

The merchant remains responsible for reviewing order and bank records. The app’s reconciliation output is operational assistance and is not banking, accounting, tax, or legal advice. Any warranties, statutory rights, exclusions, or liability limitations apply only to the extent permitted by the law governing the merchant’s use.

Complaints and consumer disputes

The app is a free service intended for Shopify merchants. If consumer law nevertheless applies to a particular relationship, contact us at the contact address with a request for remedy first. A consumer may also use alternative dispute resolution under applicable law.

Governing law and dispute forum: The law of the Slovak Republic applies to the public edition to the extent that this does not affect mandatory rights of a merchant or consumer under applicable law. The competent court is determined under the applicable procedural rules.
